Matching Funds

Many employers support their employees’ charity donations by matching a portion of the funds an employee donates. Through these programs, your NFBWV members, family members, co-workers and neighbors can inquire with the human resources department where employed. Donors can double their gifts to support your efforts to transform the lives of blind students, seniors , support state scholarships, and to assist with our educational and outreach programs in West Virginia. We are asking all who receive this information whether their employers offer gift matching programs. If they don’t know, please inquire with their human resources department. If you need additional information, please contact NFBWV President Sheri Koch at 304–209–8779 or sheri.koch.nfbwv@outlook.com, or NFBWV Treasurer Robbie Johnson at 240-522-3379 or jrobbie39@yahoo.com.

Leaving A Legacy

Dream Makers Circle

You can help build a future of opportunity for the blind by becoming a member of our Dream Makers Circle. It is easier than you think. You can visit your bank and convert an account to a P.O.D. (payable on death) bank account which is payable after your passing to the National Federation of the blind or one of our affiliates. Your legacy gift to the National Federation of the Blind or the National Federation of the Blind of West Virginia can be made in the form of a will or living trust, an income generating gift, or by naming us as the beneficiary of a retirement plan, IRA, pension, or a life insurance policy. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage, or list NFB as one of several beneficiaries. For additional information, please contact Patti Chang at (410) 659-9314, extension 2422 or at pchang@nfb.org, or visit www.nfb.org/get-involved/ways-give/planned-giving.
